The director of Albatros Diving, Antonio Tocornal (Toni), PADI instructor and professional skipper, has more than 30 years experience in the diving world and opened his first diving centre in 1993. Together with his wife and partner, Martine, they have created what is now the ideal location for a diving centre in Majorca.
Albatros Diving was the first diving centre of the Balearic Islands to obtain official status as a diving centre as well as status as a filling station and as a centre of visual inspection of air tanks, according to the new regulations of the Balearic Government (which are perhaps the most restricted in the world).
One of our main priorities is safety and therefore we have worked out an emergency evacuation plan with Medisub, a medical company that offers the best specialists in diving medicine and with the only decompression chamber actually in operation on the island. Our best guarantee: in more than 15 years of history of Albatros Diving and with several thousands of divers who have learnt to dive with us, we have never been in need of it!
In 1999 Albatros Diving was already voted by the readers of the well-known German diving magazine “Unterwasser” to be "the best diving centre of the Balearic Islands and the third best of the whole Mediterranean".
